Jeremy is a magazine published by the University of Sydney Physics Society, which aims to encourage science communication and undergraduate research and to share the joy of science with the wider community. If you'd like to join our writing team, submit a wacky quote from a lecturer, or get in touch, email us at jeremy.physoc@gmail.com or contact us on Instagram @jeremy_usyd or on the PhySoc Facebook.

Jeremy Article Prizes

We want to publish YOUR article, with a chance to win a prize! Every semester we give away three Jeremy Prizes to undergraduate students: one for first-years, one for second-years, and one for third-years. The winner from each year will receive a $40 Prezzee gift card that can be used in hundreds of stores.

We mostly publish popular science articles, academic research articles, and creative works, but are open to any kind of fun and exciting science-related submissions!

Email article submissions to jeremy.physoc@gmail.com by 11:59pm Sunday July 6th, 2025, along with your undergrad year (if you are running for a prize). Article submission guidelines are below. We are looking forward to reading your articles!

Quote Competition

Do you recall unexpected “quotable” moments from your lecturers or tutors? We bet you've heard our professors drop some legendary lines that made you crack up. Now’s your chance to immortalize these gems! Whether it’s a quirky analogy, a mind-bending statement, or something that left you wondering if you accidentally showed up for a wrong class— we want to hear it!

Submit your quotes via https://forms.gle/CjsaqxyWU9mwhNgu8 by 11:59pm Sunday July 6th, 2025, and the winning quotes will be published in the next Jeremy issues.
